Rudy Noriega, Assistant Director
Rudy Noriega is currently in his fourth year as the Assistant Band Director at Spring High School. Prior to this role, he spent six years teaching in Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, where he worked at Smith Middle School and Cypress Springs High School.
He holds a degree from the University of North Texas, where he studied trumpet under the instruction of Keith Johnson. During his time at UNT, he performed with the Symphonic Band under the direction of Dennis Fisher. He was also a member and held leadership roles with the UNT Green Brigade, UNT Volleyball Pep Band, and the Basketball Band.
Mr. Noriega is an alumnus of the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps, where he marched from 2011 to 2014. He served as trumpet section leader during the 2013 and 2014 seasons and was recognized with the prestigious Bluecoat of the Year award in 2014.
Rudy resides in Katy, Texas with his wife Andrea and their two boys, Ryan and Reece.
